DJ Luemas155 Playlist – All New Show

luemas155playlist-crop-smallWe are excited to announce that we are starting a new set of shows, presented by DJ Luemas155, these shows will be unique to any type of shows we currently do at RCD Radio.

Why? well, for one thing, there will be NO VIDEO for these shows, just a fancy looking graphic to look at, the second thing, there will be ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING (except for our station jingles/ID’s), thirdly, these shows will NOT be RECORDED, finally, some of these shows will focus towards types of music we do not normally play on our station. (Keywords have been highlighted to make reading this more pleasurable)

What are these shows? We are calling them, playlists, presented by Luemas155 from the comfort of his own home, he will be taking over the 24/7 music server stream, to present playlists he himself has put together, hence why these shows shall be called DJ Luemas155 Playlist.

26-hour-show-5DJ Luemas155 will try and present at least 1 playlist a month, from a variety of music types, these playlists will be anything from music from films, to classical music, for example music from the film The Fast and Furious, to Classical’s such as Ludwig van Beethoven. (Do check this out if you don’t know who he is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z4KK7RWjmk)

26-hour-show-124The dates and times of these shows may change or even scheduled at last moment, as these shows are not your typical sort of shows and they are meant to be all round stress free and very easy to do.

The first episode will be on Saturday 5th November at 21:30 UK Time, there are currently some other episodes scheduled, but the dates and times are subject to change, please see the links below for them, don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook, so you know when and if they change, please see the links below for the RSVP on Facebook button.cropped-t-shirt-bulk41.jpg

Brand New Web Server

red-logo-white-smallFor over a month and a few days, we have been working on setting up a brand new web server for our website.

As many of you knew, our old host kept crashing with our website when we hit so many visitors and at times, it was quite slow, we may of fixed this issue by moving to a bigger server which may be able to handle what we need a bit better, all with a lot more control over our web server.

studio-pic37Big thanks has to go to Scootz for helping set all this stuff up, who is now our very own web admin for the station.

We still have lots more work to do on the back end of the server, so you will not see many of the back end improvements, but you should now be able to experience a much better site when visiting one of our shows.

iphone-stream-lock-hqIf you have any issues and you will like to address them with us, please contact us by our Twitter or Facebook pages as at the current time, our contact pages do not work.

Episode Re Uploads

red-logo-white-smallDue to YouTube removing a bunch of episodes of our shows from its site, I have spent many hours re uploading those that didn’t work, the re uploads can be found on our YouTube channel and they should work for the majority of countries.

The re uploads include the following episodes:

There are many more episodes that need uploading, I will be sorting this within the next few weeks, so all our YouTube videos work for the majority of our listeners.

For more information as to why we have to remove tracks from our shows, read this blog post for more information:

Why we remove songs from uploaded episodes to YouTube

red-logo-white-smallThis blog post explains why we remove songs from episodes we upload to YouTube.

The answer is quite simple, the copyright owners of the songs that were removed, are not permitting us to upload these tracks to our YouTube account, copyright owners/record labels, have the right to decide what happens if someone uses their content in videos on YouTube, if we upload something that the copyright holder does not let us upload, the video will be blocked worldwide, or the audio in the video will be muted.

pic5So we then have to remove songs manually, we do this in order for our videos to be shown as far and wide as possible, we want everyone to enjoy our videos, anywhere in the world on YouTube, we also use our YouTube videos on our website, for people to watch episodes of our shows they may of missed.

You know if a song has been removed when a title comes on the video, which says something along the lines of, “Last song removed due to copyright” this may also be why it takes so long for episodes to appear on our website, because we have to go through the entire re edit, re recompression and re upload of these videos.

We hope this blog post answers your question on why we remove songs from our YouTube videos.
