All New in 2016

From all of us here at RCD Radio, we would like to thank everyone who has been involved with RCD Radio in 2015, it has been a massive year for us and we are going to continue this in to 2016.

Our main highlight this year was our 26 hour broadcast we did in July, hitting our record for the most unique website visits, most people in our IRC chat at the same time and most amount of viewers watching us on our Live stream, what a exhausting 26 hour show that was, you can still watch the entire 26 hour show on our website, by going to http://july18.rcdradio.com/theshow and you can find all the highlight videos, schedule and pictures, all at http://july18.rcdradio.com

Apart from RCD Radio’s Longest Ever Radio Show, most commonly known as  July 18, our audience base has increased over the past year, with lots of new shows popping up before our summer event we did this year, unfortunately towards the end of this year, our availability has been in decline, but we should be doing a few more of these shows in the new year.

That is the past, here is what we are working on in 2016.

I can reveal that in 2016, we shall be releasing a brand new website design which has been in the works since the summer of this year, brand new design that will look amazing on large monitors and TV screens, perfect so you can see more of the stream at the same time. – The image above is a little preview of the new home page.

pic5We have been working on a 720p version of our stream which works very well, unfortunately we are having to look for a new streaming service which can support multiple bit rates of our feed, we have already rolled out 720p recordings for our shows on YouTube, we hope to have our feed in 720p HD very soon in 2016 thanks to our brand new Intel Core I7 machine. – View our full studio specs at http://rcdradio.com/studio/

We hope you will continue to support RCD Radio in 2016, thank you once again for your support in 2015 and a Happy New Year to you all, see you in the new year!

Greetings! Whats New?

Cray Cray DJ Lozo - Now That's What I Call Music Volume 1After having a bit of a short break, RCD Radio is finally starting to come back to normality many of you may be pleased to hear.

DJ Lozo (The founder and owner of RCD Radio) has been taking some time out for a few months, but is now slowly coming back to doing what he enjoys best at RCD Radio, last weekend he did his first stream in many months and will not be the last! Its going to take time, but more broadcasts will start to appear at RCD Radio.

So, what can we expect to happen over the next few weeks? Well, RCD Radio will be doing some minor changes to the website, we hope to have the rewind feature in full operation in a few weeks, so you can re watch any broadcasts you missed, we would also like to start opening job offers for DJs to come on the air and DJ for us.

We would also like to work on getting partners on board and we are still desperately looking for a sponsor for the station! interested? please contact us

We will have some more news on new stuff in the future! just keep an eye out.

RCD Radio Needs You – Donate for a new Broadcasting Machine

DJ Lozo Suit during NOW! Volume 3 PointingToday I have been setting up a campaign to get a new broadcasting machine for the Live Stream at RCD Radio, why? well right now we only have the one machine which is doing a awful lot when we are Live Broadcasting and can be the cause for stream lagging and not so good picture quality because the software needs to run on allot of ram and a fast CPU.

I have decided to set up a campaign on indiegogo.com which was suggested to me by a friend, I am looking at getting a reasonable machine for about £300 – £400, with a fast CPU and lots of RAM, (About 4gb of RAM) this machine will then be running the Live video and audio streams for RCD Radio.

In order for this dream to become reality, I will be asking heavily for donations over the next month, the fund raising will end on May 1st 2013 and any funds we have during that time will go towards the new machine.

RCD Radio Logo RedThis would be amazing if we could reach the goal of £1,000, even though the machine I plan to get is only in the range of £300 – £400, I am planning on getting some new equipment, such as a new webcam, sound card and a new licence for our broadcasting software, wirecast, any funds left over will be used for google advertising or to pay off any other services we use for RCD Radio.

I really hope you will help fund us using this site, I have embedded the link below so you can do it directly from this post, please also read our Perks, you get something in return if you donate so much to this fund, also have a read of the full description on the site.

Share this short link with everyone on facebook and on twitter: http://fund.rcdr.me <- This links to our page on IndieGoGo.

Thank you and please consider it! Not much time to do this.

ISP Problems

RCD Radio Logo RedTonight and last night we had to cancel our NOW! Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
