Lost Video and Audio from 29/11/2014 Broadcasts

DSCF4525Due to unforeseen circumstances, RCD Radio is missing video and audio footage of last nights shows on RCD Radio, such as DJ Lozo’s Mixes Episode 7 and Rock Night with DJ Luemas155 Episode 1.

DSCF4501We expected the videos to show on VaughnLive when our broadcasts had finished, but what had happened was the broadcast had lost connection, re connected to the VaughnLive servers and its believed it over wrote what had already been recorded.

This means, we only have about the last 50 minutes of Rock Night with DJ Luemas155 Episode 1, we shall try and upload this on to YouTube this week.

DJ Lozo will be doing a re record of his original broadcast, it won’t be Live, it will be recorded locally and it will then be shared on YouTube at a later date (Hopefully this week)

So if you were hoping to re watch these two broadcast, this is quite unfortunate, but we shall do our best to restore what we can, we did take allot of photo’s during the night, so these photos will appear on the appropriate pages on the site for that show, more details about that in a future blog post.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Brand New Hard Drive – Its Called SUPERDRIVE

blog-hard-drive-10-10-2013-1Just over a week ago, we wrote a blog post about how we have suffered yet again a hard drive failure and we were working on getting its replacement in.

Read that blog post here

The replacement drive is here and is now operational! Restoring the drive was no easy task and it took a fair few hours to get its backups, such as music, jingles and voice overs, but everything has now been restored and we are ready for broadcasting Now That’s What I Call Music Volume 10 on the 16th October

The New Drive

The new drive is a Buffalo DriveStation Combo 2TB eSATA/USB-2.0/Firewire External Hard Drive, after we originally thought our streaming machine took FireWire, we were very wrong, after looking at the port and the writing above it, we noticed that the port was actually a eSATA port which was very exciting to hear.

blog-hard-drive-10-10-2013-2eSATA allows you to transfer files to the hard drive at super hyper speeds, which for us is perfect as we do music streaming from the device, according to the manual, it allows transfers up to 15000MBPS (Mega Bits Per Second) which is allot faster than Firewire and USB.

The drive is a solid state hard drive with 2TB of space, its plenty for our music library, the new drive has also been networked so we can access the drive to update the library from any machine on the network and without there being any disruption from disconnecting the drive or connecting any USB sticks or Hard Drives for music transfers.

Overall, we are very pleased with this drive and its going to be in good use for the next few years. (Hopefully)
