Why we remove songs from uploaded episodes to YouTube

red-logo-white-smallThis blog post explains why we remove songs from episodes we upload to YouTube.

The answer is quite simple, the copyright owners of the songs that were removed, are not permitting us to upload these tracks to our YouTube account, copyright owners/record labels, have the right to decide what happens if someone uses their content in videos on YouTube, if we upload something that the copyright holder does not let us upload, the video will be blocked worldwide, or the audio in the video will be muted.

pic5So we then have to remove songs manually, we do this in order for our videos to be shown as far and wide as possible, we want everyone to enjoy our videos, anywhere in the world on YouTube, we also use our YouTube videos on our website, for people to watch episodes of our shows they may of missed.

You know if a song has been removed when a title comes on the video, which says something along the lines of, “Last song removed due to copyright” this may also be why it takes so long for episodes to appear on our website, because we have to go through the entire re edit, re recompression and re upload of these videos.

We hope this blog post answers your question on why we remove songs from our YouTube videos.

Welcome Back and Brand New Request Show

red-logo-white-smallFirst off, welcome back to RCD Radio, listeners! After our long break, we are now back, nice and refreshed and full of new ideas to help expand RCD Radio. (As always, with your help)

We are starting off our return with a brand new show idea, called, The DJ’s Lozo and Luemas155 Radio Show, its a request show, hosted by DJ’s Lozo and Luemas155.

pic38There is no schedule with these shows, they will come on at any time, with at least a few hours notice, so you will have to keep an eye out for them on our social media sites and our website.

What are these shows going to be about I hear you ask? They are going to be concentrating mostly on playing your music requests during the time period we are on air, we will play anything you want, so long as we have it, if we don’t have it, we will do our best to get it up, even if its relaying it off YouTube.

We won’t just be playing music, we will have a bit of banter like you heard in our longest ever radio show, we will have a PlayStation 4 Live feed, for those gamers who like to watch games, plus we may have some exciting news about our PS4 feature in the future.

pic081So we hope you will be able to join us for our first episode, it starts on Tuesday 6th October at 7pm UK Time and we will be Live for 2 hours.

Feel free to RSVP on Facebook by clicking the links below.

Happy New Year from everyone at RCD Radio! We wish you a happy 2015! On this bright note, we wish to announce a brand new set of shows on RCD Radio for 2015.

Request Shows
Starting with immediate effect, RCD Radio will now be putting on random request shows from our station DJ’s, the idea of these request shows is that the DJ can broadcast any time, day or night on RCD Radio a request show, so long as there is nothing to collide with it within the schedule.

During these request shows, listeners may request any song we have in huge library, we will update Social Media when these request shows will go Live and who is taking your requests, plus this information will be shown at the top of the Live page, the request show playlist is ran by the On Air DJ, meaning it overides everything that is on our automation schedule at http://rcdradio.com/clara/

So far, DJ Lozo and DJ Luemas155 will be the ones taking your requests until we hire more DJ’s at RCD Radio.

requestsHow can requests be made during these shows?
By typing !request SONG INFO HERE in our Live Chat room, this will send a notification to the on air DJ of your request to play, plus you can put in a special message for the DJ to read out, if you don’t want to do that, you can simply make a request by sending us a tweet to @RCDRadio Followed by your request, or post on our Facebook Wall.

Or you can visit our request shows page and make your request in the contact form box provided at http://rcdradio.com/requests/

ALL REQUESTS ARE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS – THE UP TO DATE VERSION CAN BE FOUND ON THE REQUESTS SHOW PAGE:

Last Updated: 08/08/2013

  1. The On Air DJ has the right to decline any song request made by users.
  2. It is up to the moderation staff and on air DJ if your request should be played.
  3. We can only play songs which are current on our playback automation system, we have thousands of songs and there is a chance we have something for you, even if its not the song you wanted, we may ask you if its ok if we play a different song by that artist.
  4. Do not request the same song over and over again, we will not play it, we like to get a bit more of a variety going on.
  5. If you request a song which has already been played recently within the first hour, we may ask you to choose another song or we may compromise and tell you approximately when we will be able to next play your request.
  6. At this time we may not do request shout outs, we may only say the name of who requested the song, this system is currently beta and we will add some more options in the coming future.
  7. Any users attempting to use staff or moderation commands for the request system, may find themselves banned from the channel without a pre warning, even though we may give warnings, expect not to get one.
  8. The On Air DJ has the right to turn on and turn off the request system as they please, they do not have to take requests from users.
  9. If we have a high volume of requests coming in, we may not be able to play all the requests, if that is the case, the On Air DJ will say so in the chat room or on air and may stop taking requests for the meantime.
  10. The requests Terms/Policy can change at any time, every time the Terms/Policy changes, we will say so on social media and we shall update the date of when it was last updated.

For more information on the request shows, visit the requests show page at http://rcdradio.com/requests/
