Today I have been setting up a campaign to get a new broadcasting machine for the Live Stream at RCD Radio, why? well right now we only have the one machine which is doing a awful lot when we are Live Broadcasting and can be the cause for stream lagging and not so good picture quality because the software needs to run on allot of ram and a fast CPU.
I have decided to set up a campaign on indiegogo.com which was suggested to me by a friend, I am looking at getting a reasonable machine for about £300 – £400, with a fast CPU and lots of RAM, (About 4gb of RAM) this machine will then be running the Live video and audio streams for RCD Radio.
In order for this dream to become reality, I will be asking heavily for donations over the next month, the fund raising will end on May 1st 2013 and any funds we have during that time will go towards the new machine.
This would be amazing if we could reach the goal of £1,000, even though the machine I plan to get is only in the range of £300 – £400, I am planning on getting some new equipment, such as a new webcam, sound card and a new licence for our broadcasting software, wirecast, any funds left over will be used for google advertising or to pay off any other services we use for RCD Radio.
I really hope you will help fund us using this site, I have embedded the link below so you can do it directly from this post, please also read our Perks, you get something in return if you donate so much to this fund, also have a read of the full description on the site.
Share this short link with everyone on facebook and on twitter: http://fund.rcdr.me <- This links to our page on IndieGoGo.
Thank you and please consider it! Not much time to do this.
